Luxurious Hotel based in Camps Bay Cape Town, is looking for an esteemed and vibrant Banqueting Coordinator to join their team. 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

  • Grade 12

  • 2 years of food and beverage experience and event coordination experience in a high-end environment

  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Opera, Micros, Word and Excel

  • Highly presentable

  • Excellent command of the English language with solid verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays

ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION DESIRED:

  • Hospitality Diploma

  • Restaurant hosting or floor management experience

RESPONSIBILITIES WlLL INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:  

1. Plan and coordinate all aspects of banqueting events, including meetings, conferences, weddings, and other special occasions.
2. Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences.
3. Create detailed event proposals, including timelines, budgets, and layouts.
4. Coordinate with various departments within the hotel, such as catering, housekeeping, and audiovisual, to ensure seamless execution of events.
5. Oversee the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring they are arranged according to the client's specifications.
6. Manage event logistics, including guest lists, seating arrangements, and transportation.
7. Communicate effectively with clients and vendors to address any concerns or changes to the event plan.
8. Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed during events.
9. Provide on-site support during events to address any issues that may arise.
10. Evaluate the success of events and gather feedback from clients to improve future event planning processes.
