RPO Recruitment's client is currently seeking an experienced Industrial Relations Officer to join their team. As an Industrial Relations Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing employee relations and ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of the company and promote positive workplace relationships.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and handle all employee grievances and disciplinary actions
  • Collaborate with management and HR to implement effective employee relations strategies
  • Provide advice and guidance to employees and management on labor laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Lead negotiations and discussions with employee representatives and unions
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with labor legislation and collective bargaining agreements
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints or misconduct
  • Develop and review company policies and procedures related to industrial relations
  • Facilitate and participate in mediation and arbitration processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience as an Industrial Relations Officer or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employee representatives and unions
  • Experience in conflict resolution and dispute management
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems
  • Valid drivers license
