Shipping Coordinator

Location: Capetown

Salary: R32 000 – R40 000CTC

Duties:

  • Establish contact with the supplier on the receipt of the purchase order.
  • Coordinate with the supplier and the forwarders re- shipping dates and modes.of transport.
  • Arrange clearance through appointed forwarders.
  • Liaise with appropriate departments regarding the progress of shipments.
  • Sending out status reports as they are received for updates to the business.
  • Calculate shipping cost estimates for imported/export items.
  • Ensure that estimates are in line with the actual costs.
  • Assist Sales staff with quotes concerning freight estimates.
  • Check costing with the Finance Administrator to ensure quotes and actual costing are within normal limits of deviation.
  • Maintain record-keeping in an orderly manner.
  • Requesting VOC when necessary
  • Check import/export documentation against purchase orders.
  • Query any discrepancies with the Managers.
  • Sales Manager concerned.
  • Match shipping documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years similar experience
  • Matric
  • Computer literacy
  • Ms Dynamics or any accounting system.
