Manage Projects Assigned

Minimum Requirements
  • Engineering Qualification (Mechanical)
  • Project Management certification/Diploma
  • Professional experience in the oil and gas sector, with expertise in pressure parts and welding.
  • Commercial acumen, costing and cost control
Duties and Responsibilities
  • The Project will be executed on Best practice and in this case on a work Package level.
  • Work in a Multinational team for a project delivery to the South African Navy.
  • Oversee the collaboration, communication and sharing of information on order to set up the Project Playbook with the customer to map out the project parameters.
  • Previous experience in overseeing the compilation of configuration plan, breakdown, build up of technical, commercial, supply and delivery package per each identified works component.
  • Supply chain development with input from stakeholders.

(Interface with responsible team members and interface Dpts)

As per the Gated review system:

  • Kick off meetings held
  • Technical definition completed.
  • WBS Created
  • Project Planning elaboration throughout life cycle.
  • Project Procurement management.
  • Project Commercial management and tracking.
  • Project Cost tracking, forecasting and actual cost measurement.
  • Project internal and external reporting incl project reviews, Risk management, close out.
  • Project Mandatory documentation completion, communication and maintenance.

Communication.

  • Project Reporting
  • Effective and face to face team communication.
  • Client interface and, meetings as required.
  • Project Commercial communication.
  • Contract Management and Record Keeping.
  • Clear role and responsibility assignment to Project Team.

Safety

  • Safety Planning
  • Ensure BNE Safety standards and culture is a priority.
  • 16.2 Appointment.
  • Attend/Chair internal and external Safety meetings.

Quality

  • Quality planning
  • Quality Standards, Quality management plan and Inspection plans
  • Engineering Reports and deviation reporting upkeep.
  • Adherence to record keeping and communication protocols.
