We are searching for an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing staff work and ensures that employees reach weekly or monthly quotas and other commitments. To complete the deadlines, a supervisor must diligently communicate with the team and managers to ensure task completion within the agreed deadline. The ideal candidate will be a friendly, caring, dedicated individual with good cross-cultural sensitivity as well as the passion to serve guests. You will work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with a multi-cultural team and guests alike. Ensuring the areas is cared for and inspected according to standards. Protecting equipment used and ensure right chemicals is use for all type of items washed. Ensuring to create a clean and orderly environment for the guests. Notify superiors of any damages, deficits and or disturbances. Be able to prioritise daily tasks, work quickly without compromising quality. Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company related practises.

The Housekeeping Supervisor will report directly to the  Housekeeping Manager.

The duties and responsibilities will be as per below, but not limited to:

Monitor and administer time and attendance policy (Books update or monitoring clock system report)

Monitor staff to ensure accountability in compliance with departmental goals.

·
Execute operational projects and coordination of activities.

·
Evaluate staff to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the daily functions.

·
Provide assistance and support to your manager on and off duty.

·
Determine customer needs and ensure operational delivery of specific requests.

·
Continuously try and improve service offerings in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, and competitiveness.

·
You need to model customer -orientated behavior and communications.

·
Advises on how to resolve logistical and/or customer-related problems.

·
Generate departmental reports, monitor workload, productivity, customer satisfaction.

·
Participates in training sessions, instructions, and people's skills.

·
Be willing to work after hours at times.

·
Monitor and review the progress and accuracy of your department's operational progress.

·
Assist in the development of new employees, training, induction, policies, and procedures.

·
Complete necessary documentation (lost and found/daily sheets/sop's/etc.)

·
Participating in recruiting adequate staff.

·
Provides performance reviews to employees in a timely manner.

·
Ensure that all service equipment is operational and handled safely, reporting mechanical issues to appropriate team members.

·
Notify management in time of any shortage in amenities/O/E and or other chemicals in need.

·
Circulate through all venues during shifts and ensure all areas are clean to standard.

·
Also do your rounds in the rooms and public areas to ensure that it is clean and hygiene friendly.

Inform management if in need of assistance- where and when.

Oversees the scheduling, duties and training of staff if in need. (On Board tra

Oversees the scheduling, duties, and on-the-job training of employees.

Supervises a team.

·
Demonstrates excellent level of communication throughout.

Be able to immediately resolve any staff and or operational problems or issues.

Coordinate workflow within the team, prioritizing jobs and delegating duties to employees.

Do random checks to ensure work was executed to satisfaction.

Attends department meetings on scheduling and or request.

·
Shall have a positive attitude, excellent inter-personal skills, tact, problem solving abilities, and the ability to prioritize competitive situations in the best interests of all.

Minimum requirements:

·
Matric Certificate Compulsory

·
A diploma or certificate in hospitality management or related fields is advantageous.

·
3+ years of luxury hotel housekeeping experience is essential and required.

·
Proven ability to supervise and manage a team of housekeeping staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.

·
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff and guests effectively.

·
Ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues related to housekeeping services.

·
Understanding and enforcing safety and sanitation policies to ensure a safe and clean environment for guests and staff.
