**PURPOSE**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly talented and experienced Hospitality professional to join the team at The Rockefeller Hotel & Residences.

The Housekeeping Supervisor positively represents the hotel through the daily checking of the assigned guestrooms as per the established standards of cleanliness and through interaction with guests. The Housekeeping Supervisor is required to maintain a flexible schedule that includes days, nights, holidays and weekends.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES**

- Keeps updated on available rooms, functions, including maintenance and early/late check-ins and check-outs; communicates information to Room Attendants.
- Supervises the daily activities of the housekeeping staff.
- Conducts all allocated inspections of the guest rooms, and other housekeeping areas as requested by the Executive and Assistant Housekeeper.
- Informs Executive and Assistant Housekeeper about accurate room status and public areas.
- Helps and checks that Public Area Attendants maintain furnishing, facilities and equipment in the cleanest possible condition, and ensures that repair and maintenance is executed when needed.
- Brings all needs for repair to the attention of the Executive Housekeeper.
- Handles the daily inventory keeping and disbursement for all cleaning supplies, and rest rooms supplies, and housekeeping related machinery and equipment.
- Supervises all rotational and special cleaning programmes.
- Inspects rooms as per the hotel standards.
- Handles lost and found items in rooms and public areas.
- Reports maintenance issues as needed.
- Checks, equipment, and stocks daily supplies in the respective storerooms.
- Coordinates daily linen and guest laundry ingoing and outgoing and check that all is received back from laundry company.
- Ensure Guest laundry is charged at reception.
- Knows all housekeeping procedures to be a resource when needed.
- Confers closely with the Executive and Assistant Housekeeper and takes every opportunity to become familiar with all aspects of the position in order to fill in where needed.
- Is aware of departmental costs; take action to control labour, amenities, chemicals and supply costs.
- Keeps Executive and Assistant Housekeeper aware and updated of any concerns and issues.

**SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE**
- Minimum 2 years’ Housekeeping Supervisory experience.
- Proficient on Opera, and Office 365
- Must be able to collaborate with the team, as well as independently.
- Attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, innovative, problem solver & strong negotiator
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a pressurized environment.
- Great planning skills and organisation abilities
- Team player
