**2.** Assigns housekeepers their daily cleaning schedules and inspects work for ensure cleaning is done to prescribed ITC standards of cleanliness.

**3.** Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, e.g. mops, buckets, vacuums, etc, and takes disciplinary action when required.

**4.** Coordinates cleaning activities between Guest Relations, Reservations and Maintenance.

**5.** Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.

**6.** Manage daily sorting, recording of linen from the Launderers.

**7.** Evaluates cleaning schedule to determine staff requirements and if additional casual staff will be required.

**8.** Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation.

**9.** Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage.

**10.** Examines apartments to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment and makes recommendations to management.

**11.** Attends staff meetings to discuss company policies and patrons' complaints.

**12.** Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff.

**13.** Advises, Guest Relations, Reservations and Maintenance when apartments are ready for occupancy

**14.** Screens potential job applicants, hires new employees, and recommends promotions, transfers, and dismissals.

Daily Activities:
Inspect cleanliness of the apartments to ensure they adhere to ITC standards and take action to correct any mistakes/problems.

Record any maintenance items in the apartments or new cleaning equipment required for the specific apartments, on the daily housekeeping sheets

Ensure dirty linen is correctly sorted, recorded and dispatched

Follow-up with The Laudrers if there are any delays in collections/drop-off

Inspect housekeepers’ caddies to ensure that have all the supplies needed to clean the apartments.

1. Review monthly housekeeping schedule to see if any changes are required.

**Salary**: R6,500.00 - R7,000.00 per month
