Vida & Co manages beautifully curated short-term rental properties in Stellenbosch, offering guests a warm, high-quality stay that reflects the charm and hospitality of the Winelands. We are growing and looking for a reliable, proactive Property Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, guest experiences, and property care.

Role Overview

The Property Manager will be responsible for managing bookings, guest communication, turnovers, and maintenance coordination across several short-term rental units. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational and communication skills who enjoys creating exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Communication: Respond promptly to booking inquiries, confirm reservations, and assist guests before, during, and after their stay.
  • Check-In & Check-Out: Coordinate guest arrivals/departures and manage key handovers or smart lock codes.
  • Cleaning & Turnover Management: Schedule, oversee, and quality-check all cleaning operations, ensuring each property meets Vida & Co standards.
  • Manage Cleaning Staff: Lead, train, schedule, and support cleaning staff; implement checklists and ensure accountability.
  • Property Inspections: Inspect properties after each stay for damages, inventory checks, and overall condition.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Arrange repairs and maintenance; track issues
  • Manage Maintenance Staff & Vendors: Coordinate gardeners, handymen, service providers, and contractors; ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Listing Management: Keep Airbnb, , and other listings updated with descriptions, photos, amenities, and pricing.
  • Supplies & Inventory: Maintain stock levels for toiletries, linens, cleaning supplies, coffee, and household items.
  • Issue Resolution: Handle guest issues or emergencies with professionalism and care.
  • Reporting & Admin: Provide monthly updates on bookings, expenses, maintenance, and turnover schedules.
  • Operational Support: Assist with onboarding new units, implementing systems, staff scheduling, and improving operations as the business expands.

Expected Time Commitment

  • Full-time position
  • Requires flexibility for guest communication, check-ins/check-outs, and occasional weekend availability
  • Combination of remote admin work and on-site property visits

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in hospitality, Airbnb management, or property coordination preferred
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Based in or near Stellenbosch with reliable transport
  • Comfortable using booking platforms and digital tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R15 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
