Our client, a leading logistics provider, is seeking a dynamic
Business Development Manager
to drive strategic growth across their
Air & Sea division
. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with deep exposure to
freight forwarding, supply chain solutions, and multimodal transport
.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities that align with the organization's strategic client profile. This includes achieving revenue targets as outlined in sales agreements and contributing to the growth of the Air & Sea division through consultative selling and strategic relationship management.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum +5 years' sales experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain environments
- Matric and tertiary qualifications
- Sound understanding of Air, Ocean, and Road transportation, forwarding, and customs clearance (advantageous)
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a sustainable sales pipeline aligned to strategic growth targets
- Own and manage all opportunities, accounts, and productivity metrics via the prescribed CRM system (Dynamics)
- Lead onboarding and implementation of new business accounts
- Maintain an effective and structured diary to optimize client engagement
- Build strategic relationships across multiple levels within client organizations
- Apply consultative selling techniques to position the company as a supply chain partner of choice
- Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets
- Meet weekly and monthly call activity benchmarks

- Ambitious, driven, and solutions-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
Technical Proficiency
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM (advantageous)
