We are urgently seeking a skilled and commercially astute Payroll Administrator for a role based in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg for a leading ICT conglomerate. You will provide an efficient data processing and administration service in order to ensure accurate payroll records of employees as well as to contribute to the timeous and accurate payment of salaries to all staff.

This is a role that requires multi-country (Africa) payroll experience with the ability to thrive under pressure.

You will need to meet the following requirements:

- Degree or Diploma (HR/Payroll)
- Payroll Experience (at least 4 - 5 years) for large staff compliment (500+)
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of statutory requirements i.e. PAYE, UIF, SDL, COIDA
- Payroll experience for staff outside of South Africa including: Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda and/or Mauritius **(non negotiable)**:

- Solid knowledge of payroll principles, processes and procedures
- Experience / exposure to the Telecoms / ICT sector would be highly desirable
- Skilled communicator with strong verbal and written abilities
- Knowledge / expertise with VIP Payroll and/or VIP Sage 300

**Roles and responsibilities** will include but not be limited to:

- Assisting with the execution of monthly payroll for staff compliment of over 500 across a number of countries in Africa
- Gathering, assisting and processing data for monthly payroll (which includes timesheets, leave forms, new appointments, transfers, terminations, overtime etc.)
- Ensuring that all relevant payroll processing is loaded onto the payroll system.
- Assisting with payroll related tax and financial year end procedures
- Handling payroll related queries where appropriate (which includes SARS queries, leave and salary administration queries etc.)
- Generating and following up on monthly / quarterly reports as required by Payroll Manager
- Assisting with monthly balancing of salary reconciliations and accurate submissions of timesheets
- Ensuring accurate and timeous submission of PAYE, UIF and SDL Payments
