Overview Kaelo, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. We are seeking a meticulous Payroll Administrator to handle day-to-day payroll capturing, third-party payments, EMP201, EMP501 submissions, and WCA compliance using the Payspace payroll system. The role focuses on accurate and timely payroll processing with adherence to South African payroll laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities Day-to-Day Payroll Capturing: Accurately capture payroll data (attendance, overtime, third-party payments, and payroll adjustments) in the Payspace system; update and maintain employee records to keep information current. EMP, WCA, and Statutory Compliance: Complete EMP201 monthly submissions (PAYE, UIF, SDL) and EMP501 reconciliations in accordance with SARS regulations; prepare EMP501 annual submissions and resolve discrepancies; process Workmen’s Compensation Act (WCA) submissions and ensure correct employee classification for reporting and compliance. Third-Party Payments: Process and manage third-party payments (e.g., garnishments, loan repayments, medical aid contributions, pension contributions) and ensure timely, accurate payments with proper records in Payspace. Payroll Adjustments and Deductions: Process employee benefits, deductions, and payroll-related adjustments; ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements including UIF, PAYE, and SDL. Payroll Queries and Discrepancies: Address payroll-related queries from employees, management, and third-party providers with timely and accurate resolutions. Reporting & Compliance: Generate payroll reports (including EMP201, EMP501) and other payroll-related reports; ensure BCEA and SARS compliance. Qualifications Education: Finance Diploma or equivalent qualification. Experience: 1 to 3 years of payroll administration experience, with Payspace or similar payroll software. Knowledge: Strong understanding of EMP201, EMP501, and WCA submissions; knowledge of third-party payment processes and payroll compliance; familiarity with statutory deductions and SA payroll laws including BCEA. Skills & Competencies: Attention to detail; proficiency with Payspace or similar payroll systems; strong organizational and communication skills; problem-solving abilities.
