Manufacturing concern based on the East Rand has an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to take charge of the Creditors department. The role will be responsible for the local and foreign creditors.

**Key areas of responsibility are**:

- Manage the Shared Services AP team
- Optimization of the department.
- Maintenance of Supplier Master Data.
- Match Invoices with Goods Received Notes and Purchase order.
- Maintenance of GRN and TB.
- Allocate invoice with appropriate codes.
- Signing off all entities accounts payable files for payment runs.
- Obtain authorization from bookkeepers for account code allocations.
- Timeously request EFT run to ensure all accounts paid timeously and no discounts lost.
- Submission of remittances to suppliers.
- Queries adequately and timeously resolved.
- Intercompany reconciliations with Accounts Receivable.
- Opening of new Supplier accounts - Legal/**Syspro**.
- Implementation and maintenance of policies, procedures, including a tight internal control environment
- Assisting Internal and External Audit with requests within timelines.
- Timely preparation and posting of monthly accrual expense journals.
- Monthly reporting
- Involvement with BBBEE processes and audit verification
- Ad Hoc projects and queries

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Finance degree, B Com preferable
- At least 7 years work experience, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading and managing an AP team.
- Experience in Shared Services Environment advantage.
- Experience with large volumes of transactions.
- Willing to work extended hours
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to build effective relationships
- **Advanced excel skills essential**:
