Reporting to the International Operations Executive. You will be required to manage the pipeline of opportunities from current and prospective customers to ensure that sales goals/strategies can be met. This includes the qualification of opportunities within the pipeline, proper prioritization of activities, and management of time and commitments to ensure priority opportunities move through the sales cycle. To ensure that new business is brought on board in line with budget requirements by successful prospecting and effective negotiating skills.

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

- Grade 12
- Relevant tertiary qualifications would be advantageous.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the domestic and international courier industry.
- Experience in Courier / Road Freight Industry
- Extensive International sales courier experience
- Good knowledge of international courier services - inbound and outbound freight
- A clear understanding of Freight Audit Reports
- Own transport - reliable and trustworthy
- Computer literate. (Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication & client relations & service orientation skills
- Professional Presentation Skills
- Business development skills
- Proven track record of new business sales & client retention

Key Result Areas:

- Acquire new business, in line with budget requirements, through successful prospecting, and effective negotiating skills.
- To build strong and effective relationships with Key Account Customers in line with our customer-centric business model.
- Carry out all duties per ISO procedures
- Close sales prospects, to meet sales goals/strategies and contribute to company profitability.
- This includes solution design and preparation of proposals, performing or coordinating presentations when necessary, and closing the sale.
- Complete all sales paperwork to ensure company profitability and maximize our ability to deliver a high-quality solution and minimize potential problems or issues in service delivery or invoicing. This includes all new account documentation and sales reports.
- Ensure that reports are continually and accurately updated with progress on prospects.
- Frequently engage/communicate with account/customers
- Manage customer perceptions of services provided
- Ensure all new business accounts are implemented timeously and effectively.
