- The Dealer Business Development Consultant is responsible for identifying new business- opportunities for the channel, managing sales opportunities with the dealer and follow these through to conversion within their defined dealers/regions, and in so achieving the revenue and growth targets.- KEY DUTIES- Conduct weekly and monthly visits, set and review targets and achieve pre-defined goals
- Maintain accurate database of dealer contact information
- Thorough identification and documentation of prospects needs, expectations, and priorities, maintaining a current pipeline of prospects for each dealer.
- Develop the assigned sales territory through developing and maintaining relationships, identify and develop sources of potential new clients and qualify as sales with the dealer,
- Develop and maintain relationships which benefit both the dealer and the company
- Overcome client/dealer resistance/objections to products
- Advise Manager and Sales and Marketing of client feedback/comments relating to product content and pricing as well as company performance
- Provide a weekly schedule of planned activities to achieve master plan.
- Achieve sales activities within specified time scales as directed by Manager
- Demonstrate a full knowledge of all products, including Software Solutions, relevant selling points and benefits and so doing, match appropriate products to clients’ requirements, and thus enabling the dealer to improve their product and service offering
- Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of competitor products, be able to highlight their disadvantages and promote relevant benefits
- Timely completion of required paperwork and reports
- Self-directed continuous improvement of sales and technical knowledge
- Customer query handling, resolution, and escalation
- Provide customer ‘s where required with monthly reports as per customer requirements
- Sales Admin- Assist in tender finalization with dealers
- Assist in decision regarding special pricing requests from dealers
- Follow up and resolve order issues and queries - Sales admin
- Provide feedback to customers regarding order status - sales admin
- Identify dealer training requirements to enable up-skilling of sales abilities
- Manage and maintain relationships
- Manage and maintain good relationships with key internal stakeholders
- Manage and maintain good customer relationships
- MANAGER:
- SALES DEALER BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT- CONSULTANT- Liaise and communicate with internal departments
- Liaise with Customer Support and Product Support in service department to ensure customer service requirements are met
- Reporting
- Monthly reporting on Channel target market as per pre-defined reporting requirements and
- performance measures
- Monthly forecasts and weekly pipeline
- Monthly activity reports**Inherent Requirements**
- SKILLS REQUIREMENTS- Education- National Senior Certificate and relevant internationally-recognized qualifications in Sales
- Experience- A minimum of 3 - 5 years OA sales and account management experience in a Corporate
- Sales environment- Training- Solution Selling skills
- Skills- Computer literate (MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel)
