Job overview
My client in the Events industry is looking for a full-time Sales Administrator to join their operations team, based at a leading Events and Conference Centre in Cape Town.
**Responsibilities**
- Ensure that all quotation requests from the client are processed within the prescribed timelines and that the project specifications are loaded onto the quotation templates accurately.
- Implement and improve the communications process between the client and the sales department.
- Ensure that the client’s expectations are surpassed.
- Build positive relationships with the Centre sales staff, management, support staff and clients alike.
- Follow and maintain existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for event management and operational functions.
- Perform quality controls and monitor output.
- Fulfil other duties as assigned to ensure success of all sales projects.
**Requirements**:
- Proven work experience as a sales administrator in an events industry environment.
- Experience in organisational effectiveness.
- Understanding of audio-visual and staging event projects.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation.
- Will be client interfacing and therefore must have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills, politely and promptly responding to all internal and external requests.
- Computer proficiency and a good working knowledge of Google Workspace, printers, basic computer interfacing and computer networking.
- Must have high attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Ability to embrace our culture and follow all company policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times and be willing to adhere to our company’s appearance and grooming guidelines.
- Must be willing to work outside of normal business hours, long hours, weekends, evenings, and holidays, if and when needed.
