Job Description

To manage operations team for specific regions and to ensure operational risk, compliance and efficiency
- Ensure efficient management of costs in the Region
- Act as capacity model owner for the region and guide branches and region on capacity management and planning
- Lead on branch operating model and implementation thereof
- Ensure acceptable risk management effectiveness and loss prevention in the region
- Understand the needs and expectations of the Branch Network
- Develop and implement internal initiatives in support of customer needs or expectations and targets
- Implement and ensure operational efficiencies
- Provide regular feedback on operational functions to the Regional Manco
- Build relationships with Area Managers and Branch Management by engaging with them on a regular basis and spend time in the Branch Network interacting with Leadership
- Monitor activities within risk and compliance requirements
- Coordinate all changes to current and new initiatives i.e., Process, Systems, Infrastructure, Technology, HR, and procedures
- Coordinate all day-to-day operational activities for the Region
- Brief the Regional Manager on important issues pertaining to the Region i.e., Audit reports, losses etc., and monitor corrective action plan
- Translate strategies into actionable goals and execute relevant projects and initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress
- Keep abreast of all initiatives, projects, issues internally and externally which may be of importance to the Region
- Identify possible cause of problems, recommend correct course of action and where design solution/s are required escalate to support
- Actively visit areas and branches
- Support and develop talent in line with local legislative requirements
- Facilitate compliance, process, and risk workshops for branches in region to improve skills and to create awareness and focus on areas of concern
- Coordinate workshops for Regional Support Coordinators, process and risk and deployed resources and other key stakeholders such as vendors, SSD and Site management teams
- Manage performance of team or teams in areas of responsibility against expected individual and team delivery targets
- Identify development needs and select effective solutions to address own and employee development needs to facilitate improvement of self and team

Education and Experience
- Grade 12
- Relevant Degre or related Qualification
- 5 Years of Experience in Banking Operations
- Management Experience required
