**REPORTING TO THE PLANNING SUPERVISOR**

**JOB PURPOSE**
- To ensure that projects progress smoothly, stay on track and achieve objectives within the defined constraints of time, budget and resources.**JOB FUNCTION**
- Develop, maintain and update project schedules and plans based on project requirements, objectives and available resources.
- Assist the Planning Supervisor in identifying project milestones, establish follow up dates and contact relevant parties proactively to review progress and confirm action taken.
- Manage and allocate resources (both human and material) effectively to ensure the efficient utilization of available assets.
- Ensure that project activities and deliverables meet the defined quality standards and comply with relevant guidelines and best practices.
- Continuous engagement with Value chain to ensure that agreed production dates are relevant across all internal support functions and vendors.
- Inform Planning Supervisor of any changes in the project schedule that may impact contractual obligations.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, team members and other relevant parties.
- Monitor resource availability and utilization to prevent overallocation or bottlenecks that could impede project progress.
- Monitor project progress against established milestones, deliverables and deadlines and manage and monitor expenditure in line with budgets.
- Identify potential risks and uncertainties that could impact project timelines or objectives and develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize the impact of identified risks on the project’s success
- Compile and maintain reports and records for all projects, generate and distribute regular status reports to stakeholders highlighting achievements challenges and upcoming activities.
- Raise purchase orders for all materials required to execute projects and setup routings for all projects.**Inherent Requirements**

**QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS**
- Grade 12
- Tertiary Project Management Qualification, Project Management Professional (PMP) an advantage
- At least 5 years related project planning/project management experience.
- Follows up, initiates action, quality orientated, good planning and organising skills.
- Proficient in an MRP/ERP system, Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Projects, Teams, PowerPoint and Outlook), Qliksense, Onbase, and JDE
