Job Overview Construction Planner role at The Hard Hat Professional SA. The Planner develops and oversees comprehensive Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure site work meets project specifications, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive QMS across all construction sites. Ensure all works adhere strictly to project specifications, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. Lead internal and external quality audits and manage audit findings. Maintain detailed documentation and conduct regular site inspections. Required Experience Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in quality management roles within the construction industry, emphasizing civil engineering or large-scale building projects. Proven experience implementing and managing ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. Track record of successfully delivering projects that meet stringent quality standards. Experience in conducting internal and external quality audits. Familiarity with relevant national and international construction codes, standards, and regulations. Required Qualifications A minimum of a National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Built Environment, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related. Relevant professional certifications in Quality Management (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Quality Management Professional) are highly advantageous. Deep understanding of construction processes, materials, testing methods, and quality control techniques. Ability to identify root causes of quality issues, analyze data, and implement effective solutions. Meticulous review of documentation, conduct inspections, and ensure precision in all aspects of work. Strong ability to lead quality initiatives, influence site teams, and ensure adherence to standards without direct authority. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting, training, and engaging with diverse stakeholders. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple quality processes across various projects simultaneously.
