**THE JOB AT A GLANCE**

As the Rewards and Remuneration Specialist, you will be reporting to the Head: Operations and Rewards. You will be required to provide specialist rewards and remuneration support to RMA and its associated businesses. You will be responsible for conducting research and analysis in different areas involving compensation, such as compensation statistics and market analysis; job evaluations, job classifications, assessing the budgetary impact of compensation decisions and providing oversight of compliance with regulations and labour laws. You will need to collaborate with key stakeholders to determine staffing needs, design and adjust salary structures and compensation packages and develop policies and procedures.

**WHAT WILL YOU DO?**

**Management of the Remuneration Strategy, Implementation and Adherence**:

- Implement an effective rewards and remuneration strategy which represents an appropriate return on investment and successfully attracts, retains and motivates the right people for the business
- Implement, develop and manage the remuneration process and provide advice and guidance as required in terms of the Remuneration packages
- Proactively keep up to date with related People/Human Capital and business issues and initiatives that may impact on the reward strategy
- Track the implementation of the remuneration and benefits strategy.

**Execute and Manage Remuneration**:

- Keep abreast with remuneration benchmarks and “Best Practices.”
- Manage rewards in all pay Review/Bonus activities; providing data reports and manage the data input requirements
- Run salary benchmarking reports both internally and externally to ensure competitive market rates and organisational relativity to inform salary related decisions such as annual increases
- Participate in the annual remuneration process including assisting in the review of the annual salary structure, the calculation of bonuses, preparation of letters and bonus documents
- Contribute towards the determination of the annual increases prior to the annual salary reviews
- Implement salary increases and incentive payments with zero errors. Thereafter the schedules to be audited and signed off by the Head: Operations and Rewards and Internal Auditors
- Execute annual salary surveys and continuously maintain the salary survey to ensure updated salary related information
- Assist with creating salary bands annually using benchmark data
- Participate in the design and development of various schemes of the variable remuneration (e.g. incentive schemes for the sales functions; and assist with the design of long-term incentive schemes
- Ensure that compensation practices are in compliance with current legislation
- Assist with salary budgets annually
- Build an effective network with key contracts inside and outside the company.

**Execute and Manage Benefits**:

- Support the Business with the development and implementation of new systems e.g. flexible benefits systems as required.
- Recommend benefits programs to management by studying employee requirements and trends and developments in benefits offered by other organizations
- Expedite the delivery of benefits by establishing and maintaining working relationships with benefit providers.

**Job Grading and Job Evaluation**:

- Assist with the set up and management of the Job Grading and Job Evaluation Committee.
- Ensure the adherence to the company Job Grading and Job Evaluation procedures.
- Manage the Job Grading and Job Evaluation execution and post evaluation.

**General**:

- Advise line managers on the Remuneration Strategy and Policy
- Reviewing and improve all process and documentation and policies and procedures relating to reward and administration
- Coaching and up-skilling of line managers and staff with regards to HR services and Employee Value Chain
- Build and maintain very good stakeholder relationships
- Compile monthly and ad hoc reports when required
- Prepare RemCo packs for Remuneration Committee meetings and sign off with Head: Operations and Rewards

**WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE?**
- NQF Level 7: Bachelor’s Degree in human resources/Industrial Psychology
- NQF Level 8: Honours degree in Human Resources/Industrial Psychology (advantageous)
- Certified Compensation Specialist
- Registration with SABPP advantageous
- Registration with SARA advantageous
- 5 - 7 years’ experience in a Human Resources environment with specialist focus in Rewards and Remuneration
- Excellent Microsoft Office Skills - including - excel at an advanced level along with Work and Power Point at intermediate Level.
- Tact and discretion when dealing with people and confidential information
- Good experience of interpreting and producing high quality, accurate management Information
- Sound knowledge of Remuneration and Benefits practices
- Applied knowledge of Job Evaluation System/s
- PowerPoint and facilitation skills
- Sound knowledge of short-term and long-term incentive / tot
