**Retail Head Office** currently holds a vacancy for a Manager: Business Intelligence.

**Position Overview**:
The Business Intelligence (BI) Manager oversees the development and implementation of BI solutions, providing critical data insights to drive business strategy and decision-making. This role involves managing BI projects, analyzing business needs, and ensuring the effective use of data to support organizational goals.

**Specific Role Responsibilities**:

- **BI Strategy and Planning**:

- Develop and implement BI strategies aligned with business objectives
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure business performance
- **Data Analysis and Reporting**:

- Analytics and data Data warehouse architecture and design
- Design and produce comprehensive reports and dashboards to support decision-making
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights
- Cloud and hybrid cloud data warehousing
- Building of dashboard and reports
- Incorporate, manage and use Machine Learning
- **Project Management**:

- Lead BI projects from conception through to deployment, ensuring timely and effective delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define project scope
- **Data Management**:

- Oversee data integration, ensuring accurate and timely data collection and storage
- Implement and manage data quality assurance processes
- Ensure customer data is secure and comply with POPIA requirements.
- Ensure version control and release management processes are followed.

- Manage and mentor a team of BI analysts and developers
- Foster a collaborative environment to encourage professional growth and skill development
- **Stakeholder Engagement**:

- Communicate BI insights and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels
- Work with business units to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions
- IT Steering Committee & FRRC feedback
- **Technology and Tools**:

- Evaluate and implement BI tools and technologies to enhance reporting and analysis capabilities
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in BI technology.

- Assist auditors with data requirements - Internal and external
- DMS roll out

**Qualifications and Experience**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in BI or data analysis roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
- Proven track record of successful BI project management and team leadership.

**Certifications**:

- Relevant BI or data analytics certifications (e.g., Certified Business Intelligence Professional) are a plus.
