Our client is seeking a highly capable Logistics Manager to oversee end-to-end warehousing and distribution operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery across multiple markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all warehousing and transport operations, ensuring a safe and compliant environment aligned with OSH Act requirements.
  • Manage warehouse teams with a focus on performance, development, and productivity.
  • Oversee inventory management, distribution activities, and tenant operations within shared facilities.
  • Implement and optimise systems, processes, equipment, packaging, and resource models to support evolving business needs.
  • Coordinate service delivery with internal stakeholders to drive synergy and operational alignment.
  • Ensure consistent, accurate financial and operational reporting that highlights risks and opportunities.
  • Drive world-class performance initiatives and continuous improvement across operations.
  • Support customers and group companies with new facility setup, layout planning, material-handling requirements, and safe-handling training.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 and a BCom Degree in Industrial Engineering or Logistics Management.
  • 8–10 years' operational management experience within a supply chain or manufacturing environment, plus 5 years' general management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation (LRA, OSH Act, Road Traffic Act) and hands-on experience in warehouse, transport, planning, and procurement environments.
  • Proficiency in SAP (SD, PP, MM) and advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, BI).
  • Expertise in logistics, supply chain, transport management, contract management, quality systems (ISO 9000), and world-class manufacturing/continuous improvement.
  • Proven leadership skills including people management, negotiation, problem-solving, analytical strength, change management, and project management.
  • Experience implementing WCM principles and CI projects, with working knowledge of Six Sigma.
