**We are looking for a**Finance Administrator (Maternity Cover)** to join our**Finance** Department as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets.**:
As a **Finance Administrator**, you will be responsible for **providing accurate and timely data capturing support** for **M-KOPA South Africa**. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will ensure **financial transactions and reconciliations** are processed correctly in line with our internal controls. Your work will directly support the **efficiency, accuracy, and compliance** of the finance function, contributing to our broader mission of enabling access and affordability in underserved communities.

**About Us**:
At M-KOPA, our purpose is to drive **digital and financial inclusion** by providing essential products to underbanked communities through connected asset financing. In this role, you will support that mission by capturing and maintaining financial data on **MS Dynamics**, managing **vendor onboarding**, processing **purchase orders**, and updating **fixed asset registers**. You will also be involved in **credit card and E-Centive journal entries**, and support **month-end accruals**, **bank reconciliations**, and **customer refunds** via Paystack and Payshap. Additionally, you will assist in **BEE compliance reporting** and play a critical part in supporting both **internal and external audits**. This is a great opportunity to work at the heart of our finance operations while contributing to high-impact financial processes in a growing team.

This is an **on-site role**, and you would be based in our **South Africa** office, partnering with a diverse group of colleagues across the UK, Europe, and Africa. You will report directly to the **Senior Financial Controller**.

**Expertise**:
To succeed in this role, you must have **at least 3 years of experience** in a similar finance or data processing environment. **Data capturing experience** on an ERP system like **MS Dynamics or Pastel** is essential.

We are looking for someone with a **keen eye for detail**, **strong reconciliation and data management skills**, and the ability to **work under pressure while maintaining accuracy**. You should be a **team player**, highly **organized**, and confident in your communication. A **bookkeeping course** and/or **CIMA qualification** would be an advantage, and you should have studied **accounting up to matric level**.
