**Job Description**:
**PURPOSE**
- This role is accountable for the:_
- Work required to prepare for the contract renegotiations with Transnet on Kumba’s logistics agreements, covering both rail and port.
- Interface management between the ISOP and Kumba Strategy & BD teams on Transnet related matters, taking into account the changing legislative landscape and Kumba business requirements
- Key internal relationship management with Group Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing

**KEY TASKS**

**Performance & Delivery**
- Develop negotiations strategy/plan for Kumba with Transnet on key contracts, primarily focusing on long term rail and port contracts.
- Negotiate expansions agreements if required.
- Compile and negotiate Service Level Agreements (SLA) with contractors.
- Monitor compliance of contractual agreements - coordinate inputs from others on SLA compliance.
- Escalate non-compliance to agreed service levels and ensure appropriate resolution.
- Benchmark service quality and price levels.
- Manage logístical support for expansion projects.
- Assist with the design of logistics systems for growth projects and oversee the cost and effectiveness evaluation of the designs.
- Coordinate legal support and pre-feasibility teams.
- Domestic iron ore sales and purchase oversight.

**Stakeholder management**
- Build and maintain relationships with Transnet at the overall Iron Ore Export Channel level.
- Build and maintain relationships with other Anglo businesses contracted with Transnet to drive a unified engagement approach.
- Build and maintain relationships with Anglo group functions to enable the planning and execution of a successful negotiation strategy.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business/economics, or law, or commercial management.
- Experience in dealing with government bodies.
- Experience in working with an internationally based team.

**Specific Knowledge requirements**:

- Operations:

- Freight, shipping, and supply chain (Planning, Processing, Logistics) preferably within a complex industry environment
- Broader mining business
- Port, rail, and train load out (RLT) or alternative transport operations
- Rail and port operations
- An in-depth understanding of dynamic planning and distribution and supply chains
- Commercial:

- Legal / contract management
- Rail and port regulatory, commercial, and operational frameworks
