The commercially minded and customer-focussed person in this role will be instrumental in developing and implementing MED-EL’s social media & digital marketing in the UK & Ireland area as well as supporting our overall marketing team objectives.

Role overview:

- Fulltime 35 hours per week; Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm (UK Time)
- Salary R35,000 to R40,000 TCOE per month dependent on skills and experience
- Location Hybrid, i.e., remote, office and field work (Office work from either of our MED-EL South Africa offices located in Panorama, Cape Town or Centurion, Johannesburg)
- Car allowance included

Within this role you’ll be responsible for marketing communications (online and offline) on behalf of MED-EL UK to support our mission of overcoming hearing loss as a barrier to communication and quality of life and promoting trust and a positive perception of MED-EL.

This is both a strategic and delivery focused role and is intrinsic to the wider marketing team who collectively deliver against the commercial objectives to achieve targets and return on investment.

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of our social media & digital marketing platforms to ensure the highest level of communications delivery is being provided. Working with technical, commercial, and operational specialists across the business you will support the UK communications plan.

Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 3 years demonstrable competency running commercial social media accounts and digital communications within a business setting
- Proven experience working within a marketing team as a marketing executive, or similar role
- Strong commercial awareness
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to network
- Creative content creation and copywriting skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Motivated individual able to juggle multiple projects
- A good work ethic is essential
- Drivers licence required
