**Job Description**:
**Technical Broker **Short **Insurance **(AA)**

**Area**: Stellenbosch, Western Cape

**Package**: R50000 CTC P/M (negotiable) Package includes basic salary, plus medical aid and provident fund

**Purpose of the position**: To deliver an efficient client service relating to the Technical Broking process; from quoting stage to policy updates, renewals and cancellations as well as contribute to advice given to clients and the rest of the business. To also support the Account Executives and Claims teams.

**Key Performance Areas**

Contribute ideas to operational and process efficiencies to facilitate service delivery

Work within agreed service levels (AEs etc.)

Ensure adherence to the procedures and processes

Handle insurer queries

Build and maintain relationships with insurers and relevant stakeholders

Support AEs and Claims to handle client queries where needed

Maintain control over all deliverables and deadlines to the benefit of clients

Liaise with the insurers on behalf of the Account Executives

Ensure data integrity and recording (save information in a central location for all to access,

etc.)

Follow peer review process on all work product, discuss with colleague where needed and

escalate key issues to the Technical Broking Manager

Follow Standard Operating Procedures and escalate any improvement areas

Explain cover options and outcomes to AE

Ensure all policy documents are received, checked and filed

Comply with all applicable regulatory requirements (Fit & Proper)

Mitigate any possible Professional Indemnity exposure

Request and attend regular product training

Meet client service standards

Communicate regularly with the client, service providers and insurers, Account Executives,

Finance and any other relevant stakeholders

Maintain good working relationships with clients, demonstrating energy and enthusiasm

Maintain best practice industry knowledge and work to implement the learnings within the

Technical Broking environment

Advocate Treating Customers Fairly principles: internal clients and external third parties

(potential new clients)

**Required qualifications, skills and experience**

RE5

NQF Level 4 Short Term Insurance (Non-Life) 120 credits preferred

Minimum 5 years relevant experience
