Lecturer (Short-term insurance) Join to apply for the Lecturer (Short-term insurance) role at Moonstone Business School of Excellence. The successful candidate will be appointed as a lecturer for various modules / subjects on the qualification Higher Certificate in Short-term Insurance and will be expected to contribute towards further expanding short courses or additional qualifications in the Short-term Insurance space. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate and implement scheduled activities. Develop and maintain learning material. Deliver teaching, learning and assessment. Provide student support and communication. Record-keep and implement quality measures on allocated modules to ensure ongoing improvement. Co-ordinate and implement scheduled module activities according to the semester calendar. Maintain and improve teaching material and assessment according to specified standards, policies and procedures. Conduct ongoing research and analysis to identify required updates and additions to allocated modules and potential additional courses (e.g., new legislation, new trends in financial planning or practice management, compliance). Deliver quality online teaching, learning and assessment in the allocated modules, including moderation of online discussions, delivery of online lectures/recorded sessions, formative and summative assessment marking and timely feedback to students. Research, manage and respond timeously to student queries and support requests. Perform internal pre- and post-moderation on assessment instruments and course material where development is outsourced. Implement MBSE standards, policies and procedures for accurate record-keeping, moderation and communication of all student results. Stakeholder management including liaising with clients, internal staff, management and external subject matter experts and moderators. Assist with implementation and maintenance of accreditation with various quality assurance bodies and professional bodies. Skills Module content research, design, development and moderation. Assessment design, development, moderation and implementation. Online facilitation and discussion forum moderation, communication, digital and computer literacy. Planning, coordination, project management, reporting and record-keeping. Student support and relationship management. Effective self-management, problem solving, creativity, critical thinking and decision-making abilities. Subject matter expertise in financial planning. Qualifications Short-term insurance or related financial services qualification at minimum NQF Level 7. Experience: 2 years’ working experience in a short-term insurance environment. Experience: 2 years’ working experience in higher education or a similar training environment (preferred). Application deadline Closing date for applications: 31 October.
