Commercial Insurance Broker

Job Overview:
We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Commercial Broker to join our growing team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and lead providers, conducting proactive outreach through cold calling, and ensuring the smooth processing of insurance policies.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactive Outreach and Sales:
- Perform daily cold calling to potential clients to generate new business opportunities and expand the client base.
- Conduct telephone consultations and provide cross-quotes to all prospective clients, effectively communicating the benefits of our products and services.
Client and Lead Provider Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients and lead providers, ensuring ongoing engagement and satisfaction.
- Actively manage and nurture a portfolio of clients, regularly reviewing coverage options and facilitating policy renewals and revisions.
Policy Documentation and Quotation:
- Ensure that all necessary information and documentation required for issuing policies are accurately obtained from clients.
- Complete all policy documentation thoroughly and accurately to ensure compliance and a smooth client experience.
- Gather all relevant information to provide precise and tailored quotations to prospective clients.
Client Portfolio Management:
- Maintain up-to-date records of all client interactions and policy details in Drive folders and Salesforce, ensuring accuracy and easy access.
- Investigate any returned or unmet debit orders for clients in your portfolio promptly, addressing issues on the same day the debit order is returned.
Meetings and Reporting:
- Attend weekly sales meetings and any additional meetings called by the Sales Director, contributing insights and updates on sales activities.
- Provide regular updates on sales performance, client engagement, and lead generation efforts.
Professional Development:
- Participate in all skills development and training sessions as required by the company to enhance your sales skills and product knowledge.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and new products to provide the best possible advice and service to clients.
Additional Duties:
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Sales Director or Branch Manager, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the team's success.
Minimum requirements:
- Own transport and valid driver's license
- DOFA Compliant Insurance qualifications (COB, RE5 & 150 FAIS Credits)
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Commercial Insurance Broker or in a similar role within the insurance industry
- Broad spectrum knowledge of various business insurance products

Remuneration Package:
