As an **Account Executive**, you’ll use your skills to build relationships with clients and make this relationship grow into partnerships. You’ll have autonomy when it comes to prioritizing accounts, negotiating complex offers and crafting delightful campaign structures with the end customer in mind. They spend their days learning about what makes a small-business tick and how to craft unique marketing campaigns to help them reach their targeted audiences.

**What you will do**:

- Manage existing clients to guarantee repeat business and cultivate new relationships
- Identify new sales inquiries, present our portfolio of services and convert leads to sales
- Research, update and manage internal contact databases.
- Ensure payments are made, recorded and pursued
- Report to the Business Development Director and coordinate with operations staff to plan and execute events that exceed expectations and deliver ROI
- Track efficacy and make quantified measurements of daily activities using internal reporting tools and third-party platforms

**Requirements to perform this role**:

- 2-5 years of relevant work experience in sales, business development and client relations, preferably with a focus on B2B sales
- Strong record of negotiation and revenue generation
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related
- Strong track record of creative, successful pitching with meaningful placements in both traditional and new media
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
- Past experience with key vertical industries, including construction and extractive industries such as mining, energy and electricity and oil and gas
- Fluent in English and Portuguese
- Happy to work and travel in sub-Saharan Africa nine to ten months
- of the year.
- Ensure you are appropriately prepared for a periodic review of actual monthly sales versus your monthly minimum with management.
- Follow sales plans, meeting targets, and working with marketing on going initiatives that may involve the development of targeted campaigns.
- Updates of pipeline programs.
- Timeous submissions of reports.

**Non-negotiables**:

- MUST be **willing to travel** immediately.
- MUST be** willing to relocate **for a period of 18 months with trips back home scheduled at intervals of 10-12 weeks.
- MUST **speak and write Portuguese** proficiently
- MUST have a professional **command of English**

**Job Type**: Permanent, full-time
