The Advertising Performance Manager will be responsible for end to end performance management of our different advertising channels as part of the central Jumia Advertising team.
Key Performance Areas:
- End-to-end responsibility for the performance of various monetization solutions offered to our vendors and third parties
- Monitoring our overall performance KPIs (example: CTR, Conversion rate, ROAS) through our dashboards across countries and channels
- Identifying unpredicted behaviors swiftly and investigating their root cause with different channel stakeholders
- Improve underperforming channels & advertisers by identifying root cause and implementing an improvement plan
- Identify categories or advertiser types with low performance and tailor a strategy to improve. (Example: Our average CTR/conversion rate for Electronics advertisers is x% and by changing X,Y&Z this can be improved by x% )
- Project Management & (Tech) Roadmap Owner
- Being the business & operational stakeholder for any product & testing required, feeding back to the product team
- Ensuring ad tech related projects are managed from A to Z, for example: onboarding the ad ops team to our CRM tools
- Acts as a bridge between the business and tech teams, ensuring our tech teams have all business details required to execute and feeding back results
- Ensure implementation of State of the Art Advertising Tech solutions to support our ambition to become Africa Leading Digital Advertising Platform
- Reporting ownership
- Collaborating with our BI team to ensure we have data available in our reporting tools
- Setting the standard for what our reports should look like and creating templates for these
- Qualitative analysis of key accounts and training teams to being able to take key clients through these
- Support Key Accounts and directly interact with Key Clients
- Gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders to enhance Jumia Advertising Performance
Education, skills, behaviour and knowledge required:
- University degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years previous experience in an Advertising Operations or Marketing Analytics type of position
- Comfortable working experience with data sets and BI tools (Datastudio, PowerBI)
- Advanced knowledge on key advertising and ecommerce KPIs
- High level of comfort presenting data to internal & external stakeholders
- Extremely strong team-working skills, ability to adapt to a cross-cultural and fast-paced work environment with a passion for making an impact
- Passionate about online advertising, marketing, data, analytics, and technology
- Strong critical thinking, analytical skills with an entrepreneurial and proactive mind-set
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time, even under high-demand
- Experience or skill in overseeing performance across multiple channels
- Great attention to details
- Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills (written, spoken, listening)
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Action and results-driven
