Divisional Manager: Operations

**Main purpose of the job**:

- This is a challenging, multi-tasking role that is responsible for leading the effective and efficient provision of support services to the division, specifically in the areas of financial and organizational administration, procurement, facilities and fleet, assets, policies, and procedures
- The position will need to work closely with both the Ezintsha and Wits Health Consortium teams to ensure delivery, driving an agenda of business process improvement as the division grows

**Location**:

- **Ezintsha - Parktown office - Johannesburg**

**Key performance areas**:

- Managing all aspects of Ezintsha’s operational platform, including facilities, infrastructure, equipment, fleet, administration, IT, procurement, asset management, and OHS
- Managing operational service providers and working with them to ensure SLA terms are met
- Driving planning and processes to ensure divisional space/infrastructural needs are met and managed
- Managing recurring operating expenses, ensuring the efficient and effective running of the operations and administration team and services, on time and within budget
- Acting as the custodian of operational policies and procedures, including coordinating the regular review, communication, and effective training to ensure implementation and compliance across Ezintsha
- Working with the senior management team to improve operational functioning to support organizational strategies and objectives, including data-driven reporting and leading the Operations & Finance committee
- Gathering data to support business process change, including identifying and implementing systems and process improvements, for Ezintsha and operational partners
- Provide Transformational Leadership and support to Ezintsha’s administration and operations teams

**Required minimum education and training**:

- **A master’s degree in a related field or equivalent qualification**

**Required minimum work experience**:

- At least 7 years experience in an HIV or global health field, with an understanding of donor/academic environment and research operations
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar, senior role, managing multi-partner project operations and teams
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in project management, process development and implementation, budgeting, and financial management skill. A financial management qualification would be an advantage
- Strong people and service management skills, analytical mindset, and ability to drive change initiatives to successful completion
- Aptitude for problem-solving and for getting things done right
- Ability to effectively juggle multiple tasks/deadlines and manage competing priorities
