An exciting new opportunity has opened up at Pyrotec Cape Town. Pyrotec is a privately-owned South African company that specialises in providing innovative and top-quality product identification solutions. The company’s extensive service offerings include on-pack product identification solutions including self-adhesive label systems, coding and labelling equipment and self-adhesive products suitable for businesses and homes.
We are looking to employ an artisan assistant to work within our Cape Town Engineering workshop. You will be registered as an apprentice; thus, you will attend college full time for three months of the year. We require an individual who is ambitious, up for a challenge, wants to learn and develop and is eager to further their career. We will only accept applicants if Fitting and Turning is your passion/of interest to you

**Requirements**:
Matric
N2 (minimum) - fitting and turning
Computer literate
Technical abilities
Practical workshop/technical experience is preferred

**Core competencies**:
A high level of accuracy
Analytical thinking
Capable of working in a pressurised environment
Proactive and able to display initiative
Self-starter (mínimal micromanagement required)

**Duties**:
Assisting with the servicing and maintenance and installations of labelling and coding machinery
Manufacturing of parts and brackets
Despatching and receiving of goods
Fault finding
Modifying machine parts
Repairing machines/printers
Housekeeping within the workshop (maintaining 5S)
