**Key Responsibilities**:

- Interpret and analyse mechanical drawings to determine component specifications
- Manufacture components from raw materials
- Design jigs and templates to assist with fabrication
- Mark, measure, and machine metal stock
- Set up and operate machine tools, including drills, milling machines, and lathes
- Disassemble and assembly of machine units
- Use welding equipment to assemble or repair components
- Maintain company machinery and tools
- Inspect components for accuracy and quality
- Log time accurately on job cards and follow company systems and procedures
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times
- Work overtime when required

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Red Seal Trade Test Certificate or relevant N3/NQF Level 4 qualification
- At least 5 years’ post-qualification experience as an Artisan
- Proven experience in Fitting and Turning
- Skilled in the use of metalworking machinery (lathes, milling machines, grinders, drills)
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and engineering principles
- Advanced mechanical, troubleshooting, and welding skills
- High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication, time management, and organisational skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transport
