Reservations (Weddings) / Front Office

A quint safari site, spanning across 3,000 hectares which is home to game such as kudu, hippo, buffalo, wildebeest, eland, and off course the _good-looking zebra and giraffe_, is looking to add a Reception / Reservation & FOH Manager to their collection of friendly and highly efficient staff. It will be your responsibility to supervise staff and to ensure that guests’ needs are being met courteously._
KPA
- Manage, supervise and control all Reservations and Front Office activities
- Ensure that guests’ needs are met in a friendly and efficient manner
- Supervise Reservations and Front Office staff to. You also
- Manage room blocks for large events,
- Monitor billing arrangements, and
- Handle room inventories
**_Must have_**_: hospitality management exp & APEX_**

Must have
- 5 or more years’ experience in a hospitality
- 3 years’ experience Management Level
- Literacy in **Apex**:
- Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel & Outlook,
Qualification
- Matric + related tertiary qualification
Reservations
- Ensure all Front of House staff are smartly dressed
- Make sure that guests are greeted, checked in and allocated rooms promptly
- Confirm check-in procedures are adhered to
- Ensure incoming and outgoing telephone calls are handled promptly
- Confirm reservations are taken correctly, luggage delivered & collected speedily, speedy check-out facilities
- Guarantee that all FOH areas are clean and tidy
Admin
- Daily balancing of accounts
- Confirm that no bills exceed required limit, & that written confirmations, purchase orders, or order numbers are on file
- Submit reports and updates as required to General Manager.
- Monitor trends within industry and appropriate suggestions for improvement
Management
- Regularly conduct face to face meetings with all staff
- Prompt dealing with complaints & calming down of possible irate guests
- Hands on supervision of all activities
- Monitor are dealt with in accordance with scheme rules
Learning & Development
- Identify areas for development and training needs and implement it
- Regular On-the-Job training is taking place to agreed standards.
