This role is responsible to effectively management and optimization of software assets throughout its lifecycle for a DIT Client and their clients. By implementing Software Asset Management practices, processes, and tools to reduce costs, mitigate compliance risks and maximize the value of the software investment. This is an initial contract role and will require travel between Sandton and Centurion on different days of the Week.

**Key Deliverables (Primary functions)**
- Monitor software license usage across the organization. Understand licensing models thoroughly.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and license metrics.
- Keep the Software Asset Management tool up to date to track and report software usage, license renewals, and license compliance to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide inputs during software audits.
- Remediate unauthorized software and engage with stakeholders to minimize overdue contracts and license non-compliance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and cost avoidance in software procurement and usage.
- Work with BU owners and technical teams to understand their environments and how the licenses are being used.
- Prepare meeting presentations, reports, and minutes of meetings for review by the Senior Manager.

**Core Functional Skills and Knowledge Required**
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - Proficiency level 4
- Data Management - Proficiency level 3
- Power BI - Proficiency level 3
- Microsoft Office - Proficiency level 3
- Good Communication skills - Proficiency level 4
- Presenting and communicating information
- Working with people
- Delivering results & meeting customer expectations
- Analysing

**Qualifications**
- Grade 12
- 3 years degree/diploma NQF level 6 and computer science, or a related filed.
- ITIL is required.
- CSAM is required.
- VMWare/IBM/Oracle/Microsoft/Adobe will be advantageous
- Driver's license
- Willing to travel
- Have own reliable transport

**Experience**
- 3 years’ experience or more in SAM licensing and contract management, within a complex IT environment.

Or
- 5 years’ experience in a similar position, within a complex IT environment.

**Term and Remunerations**
- 3 to 6 Month Contract with possible extensions or permanent placement
- Up to R30 000pm depending on experience and qualification.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: R28 000,00 - R30 000,00 per month
