The Operational Specialist will be responsible for system data inputs, financial analysis and reporting related to all elements of Cinema Operations. The incumbent will have to troubleshoot system related errors and concerns by following through on call logs and obtaining resolution in a timely manner. The Operational Specialist will be providing support and performing stand-in duties for Head Office Operational functions.

**Operational Specialist: Data and Systems Job Duties**:

- Development of business cases and proposals, this includes the preparation of cash flow models demonstrating both qualitative and quantitative factors to consider.
- Cost saving initiatives to impact the business and realize the saving opportunities.
- Provide cost reports to management related to costs incurred by the organization and the efficiency of cost usage.
- Populate reports weekly, as required by the HOO, these include:

- Performance reports (admits, revenue and cost of sales)
- Cost of sales analysis reports, shrinkage and wastage reports
- Concessions Hit-Rate reports.
- Concessions Combo analysis reports
- Repairs and Maintenance reports related to PO’s, values, scope of work, consumed budget and remaining availability.
- Logistics reports related to transactions, spending, frequency, consumed budget and remaining availability (all vendors) - local and international.
- Annual cost comparison reports
- Projects tracker updates
- Technical spend based on transactions and budget availability.
- Technical consumption, returns, shrinkage reports.
- Adhoc reporting as per Operational requirements.
- Develop financial models when required to determine viability (ROI and IRR)
- Assist as an all-round position reliever within the Head Office Operations team as required / requested by the HOO (leave periods, sick leave days, etc.)

- Master Data Management
- Cost Book Changes and Management
- Price Book Changes and Management
- New SKU development, deployment and testing
- Online SKU development, deployment and testing
- Analysis of financial statements (warning signs)
- Trend analysis
- Ratio analysis
- Asset management rations
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Business Modelling
- Business case development

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Operations-Essential

**Experience and Knowledge of**:

- 3 -5 years’ experience as an Accountant / Financial analyst
- SAP, Vista and Microsoft

**Skills**:

- Understanding of the audit process
- Sound internal controls framework
- Understanding behaviours that impact a company’s bottom line.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Strong communicative skills
- Above average computer skills (Word, strong Excel, PowerPoint, SAP etc)
