**Job Advert Summary**:
**Minimum Requirements**:

- NQF Level 6 Diploma / Advance Certificate in Logistics Management preferable.
- NQF Level 7; 3 year degree / Advanced diploma in Industrial Engineering is advantageous. Mechanical or Electrical NQF Level 6 Diploma / Advance certificate is recommended.
- Section 16 (2) / GMR 2 Legal Appointment
- Must be computer literate - ERP system related (PP, SD, TM, MM, PM modules), MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- 5-7 Years Managerial experience is essential. 3-5 Years Logistics Management experience within the engineering industry is preferrable.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills. Must be persuasive and possess excellent change management and decision-making skills. Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills. Good conflict handling skills and must perform well under pressure.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Drive the achievement of Business Unit/Branch goals as outlined in the business plan.
- Review and integrate functional plans to achieve long-term strategic objectives.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance practices, systems, and structures to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Develop comprehensive operational plans and oversee the implementation of necessary remedial actions.
- Develop and monitor operational, capital expenditure (capex), and labour budgets.
- Authorize payments and assess variances, implementing remedial actions as needed.
- Establish standardized budget control systems and proactively forecast financial deviations.
- Maintain and manage internal and external relationships.
- Provide technical/professional support to stakeholders.
- Implement remedial actions to achieve organisational goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Conduct workforce planning and ensure the department is suitably staffed.
- Implement and manage people development processes, including performance management, succession planning, and talent management.
- Develop and coach team members, encouraging knowledge transfer.
- Address potential/current Employee Relations matters.
- Develop and improve organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, ISO standards, and organizational policies.
- Communicate health, safety, environmental, and quality policies effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety objectives and relevant legislation.
- Ensure maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Monitor equipment availability and safeguard assets.
- Plan and review production outputs, implementing continuous improvement projects.
- Manage inventory levels within the area of control.
