The client is a leading fintech infrastructure and services provider, specializing in delivering top-notch digital lending solutions across emerging markets. Their focus is on leveraging alternative data from partner networks, mobile wallets, and payment gateways to create innovative and profitable loan programs for new-to-credit (NTC) customers.
Operating primarily in high-potential markets, including Africa, the client has established strategic partnerships with major telecom operators, mobile wallets, and payment aggregators. Their commitment lies in driving financial inclusion by providing tailored loan programs, ranging from microloans to BNPL, that cater to the diverse needs of underserved populations. As they expand their reach, they continue to pioneer the digital lending revolution, developing impactful solutions that transform lives and economies.
Responsibilities:
- The Key Account Director will engage with telecom networks, mobile wallets, payment aggregators, and banks in East Africa to present and promote the client's value proposition.
- They will foster and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at leading telecom and wallet providers.
- The Key Account Director will identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the region, ensuring alignment with the client's strategic goals.
- Collaboration with internal teams to customize solutions that address the specific needs of clients in the region is a key responsibility.
- They will drive revenue growth by ensuring successful client engagements and expanding the client's presence throughout the region.
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions and enhance the client's offerings is an important aspect of the role.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in key account management or business development within the telecom or fintech sector.
- Strong relationships with leading telecom operators, mobile wallet providers, and payment networks in East Africa are required.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are essential.
- The Key Account Director should have the ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region is a prerequisite for this role.
