Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Specialist to join our team at KERSTON FOODS CC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating leads and identifying opportunities for new business through research and within our company strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Our Business Development Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Planning and Reporting: Present forecasts to the management team, identify emerging markets and market shifts, and be aware of new trends and competitor status.
  • New Business: Proactively increase turnover through our existing client base and secure profitable new business.
  • Business Development and Onboarding: Responsible for business development, increase market share by acquiring new clients and/or selling new business solutions to existing clients.
  • Sales and Admin Support: Collaborate with team members and other departments to identify areas where the company can increase its efforts.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Formal qualification in Business Management/Marketing/Entrepreneurship or any other relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Relevant sales qualification.
  • At least 5 years' experience in sales, or a similar role.
  • Min 3 years new customer acquisition, business development in food services/hospitality or similar field.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and increasing revenue within this specific industry.
  • Valid driver's license and own car needed.
