Business Development Specialist

At abc, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Specialist to join our team. As a Commercial Insurance Consultant, you will be responsible for sourcing leads and achieving sales targets primarily on Commercial Insurance.
Main Responsibilities:
• Source sufficient lead generating opportunities to ensure that you can quote at least 100 prospects per month.
• Maintain and update your Lead Generation Matrix on a weekly basis.
• Conduct thorough needs analyses and offer professional advice to clients.
• Manage the lead generation process, including group presentations, one-on-one consultations, and regular communication with staff.
• Complete weekly reports reflecting leads, quotes, and sales, as well as the source of the leads, average premium, total premium, and other pertinent information.
• Stay up-to-date with product comparisons and changes in the industry.
• Meet all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by our client for Business Development Consultants.
• Ensure compliance with all insurance regulations and professional guidelines and ethics.
• Meet continuing professional development objectives as required by the industry.
• Maintain the required skills and knowledge to provide specialist, professional financial advice in all relevant business areas.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the company's dress code.
Requirements:
• Matric/Grade 12.
• FAIS Credits (minimum 30 credits in short-term insurance if date of first appointment is before 2010); or if date of first appointment is on or after 01/01/2010, a full recognised qualification as per the FSCA qualification list.
• FAIS Regulatory examination for Representatives (RE5).
• CPD (continuous professional development) points.
• Minimum of three years sales experience preferably in the short-term industry with payslips as proof of previous commission earned.
• Candidate must have their own transport (CAR) and licence.
