Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze existing quality assurance processes to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for enhancing their effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Analyze documentation and technical specifications of new applications to determine their intended functionality and ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Design and execute test plans and scripts to validate application performance and identify potential issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure testing activities meet business requirements and systems goals.
  • Provide recommendations for application improvement to solution designers, developers, and support specialists.
  • Communicate test progress, results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
  • Test new software to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications.
  • Analyze formal test results to identify defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
  • Assist in developing change control processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing technologies.
  • Identify and learn software applications used and supported by the organization.
  • Compile progress and status reports as required.
  • Research and recommend software products and services to support quality assurance efforts.
  • Contribute to delivering solutions in support of strategic IT objectives and annual business plans.
  • Participate in performance contract reviews and define training and improvement plans as necessary.
  • Engage with team management to address adverse conditions preventing successful delivery of agreed deliverables.
  • Comply with quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards, including relevant best practices.
  • Participate in internal and external audits of the quality assurance practice and provide input to mitigate risks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Appropriate application (ERP, Mobile) and best-practice/professional certification (e.g., ISTQB, BABOK).
  • 5-7 years of IT application support and work experience, with a minimum of 5 years in software test automation across ERP (MS Dynamics 365) and/or Mobile (iOS and/or Android).
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of core ERP automation (MS Dynamics 365) and mobile solutions (iOS and/or Android) architectures, platforms, development, deployment, and support methodologies.
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques, including root cause analysis and debugging of code.
  • Direct, hands-on experience with automated software and system management tools (OpenText UFT, Selenium, MS Power Automate).
  • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices, methodologies, and tools.
  • Strong customer-service orientation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Ability to conduct research into application support issues and products.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
