Job Description

Job Title: Senior Credit Controller

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Controller to join our team at Quality Connect Staffing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit control and a proven track record in reducing bad debts and improving cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and Analyze Customer Accounts: Identify potential credit risks and assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
  • Establish and Recommend Credit Limits: Based on customer payment history and financial status, establish and recommend credit limits to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
  • Chase Overdue Invoices: Escalate collection efforts as necessary and negotiate payment plans with customers to help resolve outstanding debts.
  • Manage Credit Control Reports: Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date credit control reports to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service Teams: Work closely with sales and customer service teams to resolve credit-related issues and improve customer relationships.
  • Review and Approve Credit Applications: Review and approve credit applications in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide Guidance and Training: Provide guidance and training to junior credit control staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Implement Strategies: Implement strategies to reduce bad debts and improve cash flow, ensuring the company's financial performance is optimized.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Minimum of a Matric certificate, Bachelor's degree or Diploma in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in credit control or a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of credit control processes and procedures, proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software systems, excellent communication and negotiation skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certification: Professional certification in credit management is a plus.
