Administrative Director

A leading organisation, AFRIZAN, is seeking an experienced Administrative Director to lead and manage a team responsible for claims, data, and contributions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, regulatory environment and is committed to driving operational excellence.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a relevant Bachelors Degree (NQF Level 7) and professional registration where applicable.
- Has at least 6 years of job-related experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a management role, preferably within pension administration.
- Possesses strong knowledge of benefit administration, member data management, and pension fund regulations.
- Has a working understanding of the Income Tax Act, Divorce Act, Pension Funds Act, and related legislation.
- Is analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled in planning and administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and optimise daily administrative functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in claims processing, data management, and contributions.
- Ensure compliance with Pension Fund Rules, the Pension Funds Act, and other relevant legislation.
- Provide expert advice on fund rules and benefit allocations, including Section 37 (C) death benefit distribution.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance workflow and operational efficiency.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and address escalated queries with professionalism.
- Oversee departmental performance, ensuring adherence to KPIs and SLAs.
- Support strategic decision-making by contributing insights and reports on operational performance.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring employee motivation and performance alignment with organisational goals.
