Job Title: Patient Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Patient Administrator to join our team at Stethoscope SA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital's administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compiling and processing daily billing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Resolving billing queries and discrepancies in a proactive and efficient manner.
  • Coordinating with various departments to ensure accurate and complete billing.
  • Preparing and submitting billing reports, as well as performing revenue assurance checks.
  • Liaising with patients and healthcare providers to resolve any billing-related issues.
  • Managing patient records and ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and communication to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Collaborating with the credit control team to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Performing other administrative tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the hospital.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • National Diploma or relevant qualification in Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Proven track record of excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Good command of English, written and oral.
