Media and Performance Marketing Manager Position

The Colgate-Palmolive Company is a leading global consumer products company, operating in over 200 countries with a diverse portfolio of brands. We are seeking an experienced Media and Performance Marketing Manager to join our team in South Africa.

About the Role:

  • We are looking for a highly skilled professional to analyze and optimize media strategies, enhancing reach, engagement, conversion, and ROI.
  • The successful candidate will leverage data analytics tools to track and interpret key performance metrics across various platforms (TV, Radio, Digital media).
  • The Media and Performance Marketing Manager will be responsible for all reporting and optimization of retail and digital media endeavors alongside the media agency partner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Media Strategies:
    • Stay updated on the latest digital marketing trends, technologies, and best practices.
    • Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats in the market.
    • Perform media trend analysis and provide training.
  • Drive Media Integration into Brand Experience Planning:
    • Coordinate with other marketing functions on Brand Growth Plans (BGP).
    • Work closely with creative and content teams to develop compelling ad creatives and messaging.
    • Ensure coordination between Media, Brand Marketing & eCommerce teams to guarantee successful execution of media.
    • Manage media agency briefings and coordination.
    • Collaborate and communicate with various stakeholders.
    • Implement CP frameworks and recommended media guidelines.
  • Campaign Management:
    • Plan, execute, and KPI track post-campaign analysis.
    • Manage delivery of media flow plans alongside the agency.
    • Oversee media tools and process.
  • Budget Management (Paid Media):
    • Effectively manage the media budget to maximize ROI.
    • Track and report on spending to ensure campaigns remain within budget.
  • Media Analytics & Reporting:
    • Analyze campaign performance data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
    • Provide regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and ROI.
    • Benchmark performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a business-related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a media buying, planning, and strategy environment.
  • Strong understanding of ATL and Digital media.
  • Experience in Africa, outside of South Africa is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, prepare and interpret reports, and communicate actionable results, findings, and recommendations.
  • Proficient in tools such as Google Analytics, Media planning tools (TV & Radio), Media buying systems.
  • Knowledge of Excel, graphs, and formulas.
