About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and courteous Concierge to provide exceptional service to our guests. As a key member of our Front Desk team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Concierge department and co-ordinating with other departments to deliver personalized and efficient service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise bell staff to ensure seamless guest arrivals and departures, proper luggage handling, and follow-up on guest requests
  • Provide accurate information to guests in a courteous manner, fulfill reasonable guest requests, and anticipate their needs
  • Take messages for in-house or arriving guests according to procedures, emphasizing accuracy and proper follow-up
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and faxes efficiently
  • Stay informed about local activities, events, and attractions, establishing relationships with people in these areas to provide information, ticketing, and reservations for guests
  • Recite hotel services, hours of operation, key personnel, and policies accurately
  • Maintain open communication with Head Concierge and Senior Management regarding guest concerns and complaints
  • Ensure the Concierge Desk and storage areas remain organized, directing bell and door staff in maintaining the front desk and lobby
  • Assist in reconciling charges originating from the Concierge Desk (e.g., limousines, car rentals, flowers, tours)
  • Collaborate with Valet Parking associates to ensure smooth vehicle handling
  • Work closely with bell attendants to handle guest luggage, message delivery, and special requests efficiently
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism when interacting with guests, employees, and external contacts
  • Deliver assistance to all customers and guests throughout their stay, making reservations, booking tours, and checking in guests online for flights
  • Pursue relationships with restaurants and tour operators to facilitate guest requests
  • Adhere to safe working practices that do not harm self or others
  • Participate in Health & Safety initiatives within the department, ensuring compliance and implementing directives
  • Anticipate potential hazards and take action to prevent them
  • Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language, and conduct
  • Contribute to improving the department's efficiency and knowledge of job functions
  • Implement the Tata Code of Conduct effectively
  • Efficiently implement work-related instructions from superiors/management

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Front Office tasks
  • Strong networking skills
  • Excellent organizing skills
  • Able to operate computer systems with ease (Microsoft Office & Amadeus)
  • Calm and composed in difficult situations
  • Ability to remember guests and their preferences
  • Understanding of travel and tourism
  • Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar position in comparable hotels
  • Graduate from a reputable hotel management school
  • Valid PDP driver's license

Salary:$55,000 - $65,000 per annum based on experience and qualifications
