Transformation Finance Director

We are seeking an experienced Transformation Finance Director to lead organisational change initiatives for our Global Finance team. This role will require expertise in designing future-state organisational structures, mapping functional diagrams, and ensuring smooth transitions to new operating models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organisational Design: Collaborate with senior finance stakeholders to define target organisational structures.
  • Functional Mapping: Develop comprehensive functional diagrams of future finance teams, including role and responsibility definitions.
  • Transition Planning: Create detailed plans for transitioning from current to target states, including milestones, timelines, and resources.
  • Execution Support: Work with finance leadership to execute transition plans, providing hands-on support and ensuring projects stay on track.
  • Change Management: Facilitate change management processes, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and engaged throughout the integration.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly engage with senior finance leaders, department heads, and key team members to ensure smooth and collaborative processes.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership on integration progress, including key risks and mitigation strategies.

Requirements:

  • Experience in finance within private equity or alternative asset management.
  • Familiarity with large-scale finance system implementations or organisational restructures.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to post-merger finance operations.
  • Strong experience in finance transformation, with a background in integration and organisational design.
  • Strong knowledge of the finance domain, including finance operations, regulatory requirements, and best practices within finance functions.
  • Technical Skills: Proven experience in developing organisational structures, functional mapping, and change management processes within finance teams.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across teams and influence at a senior level.
  • Project Management: Expertise in planning and executing complex transitions with tight timelines and competing priorities.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex organisational concepts clearly and effectively.

Location and Contract:

  • Location: Cape Town
  • Contract Position: Initial 6-month period with scope to extend as required

Estimated Salary: R1,200,000 - R1,800,000 per annum, depending on experience.
