We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Strategist and Operations Lead to join our team at Jobs2day. As the head of procurement, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic and tactical operations that enhance system and process efficiencies, support production goals, and ensure cost-effective procurement practices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing robust procurement strategies, reducing costs, and maximizing production uptime. This dynamic role will also lead initiatives to streamline procurement processes, integrate advanced technologies, and build strong supplier relationships.

Salary and Benefits

Our estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including equity appointments, professional development opportunities, and a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality goods and services.
  • Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Organisational Support & Function Management: Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Procurement Integration for Cost Savings: Identify opportunities for cost savings through process improvements and strategic sourcing.
  • Skills Required Background/experience: Post-graduate qualification in Logistics/Supply Chain/Procurement, CIPS, SAPICS, PMI certification, and minimum 10-15 years related experience.
  • Pharm/FMCG industry experience and SAP expertise are highly desirable.

Requirements

  • Understanding of technical and regulatory aspects influencing pharmaceutical procurement.
  • Good knowledge of GxP and pharmaceutical project management.
  • Product lifecycle management in Pharmaceuticals (API and Finished product).
  • Change Management.
