We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Support Specialist to join our team at Oxyon Human Capital Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers in Africa, ensuring the highest level of service and equipment quality.
Main Responsibilities:- Install and commission IBIS radar models in Africa, working closely with support engineers.
- Offer complete slope stability monitoring solutions, including hardware, software, support, and services, through integration of various technological solutions.
- Provide remote and onsite support to customers as required, troubleshooting and diagnosing problems with systems.
- Perform system maintenance on all IBIS radar systems in African mines, ensuring optimal performance.
- Ensure all client support requests are actioned, and provide technical assistance as required for new client projects.
- Contribute to product development and management, providing technical input and product training to internal stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and customer service skills, with good communication skills and the ability to work with varying levels of technical competency.
- Familiarity with customer-oriented environments, general network infrastructure, and configuration.
- Ability to liaise with customers in an empathic and technically effective manner, providing advice to non-technically aware customers.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team and on own, and a strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and accountability.
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Geotechnical Engineering or Geology.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the field, specifically working in open pit mines.
Flexible, with the requirement to sometimes work on weekends and travel to different sites in Africa.
