About the Role

The Recruitment Room is seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in payroll management to join our team. The ideal candidate will be familiar with payroll practices and regulations across multiple African countries, including Nigeria and South Africa.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Payroll Processing: Oversee the preparation and payment of employee salaries and wages, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  2. Payroll Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll tax returns and payments to relevant authorities.
  3. Employee Benefits: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, pension schemes, and other perks.
  4. Time and Attendance Management: Oversee the tracking of employee attendance and working hours, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws.
  5. Compensation and Benefits Policy: Develop and implement compensation and benefits policies, including time-off management and performance-based incentives.
  6. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all HR practices comply with local laws and regulations, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Requirements
  • Education: A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or a related field is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Professional Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) are advantageous.
  • Experience: Proven experience in payroll management, HR functions, and leadership roles.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects.
