New Vehicle Sales Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced New Vehicle Sales Manager to lead our sales department at First Degree Recruitment. The ideal candidate will have strong management skills, a proven track record in vehicle sales, and the ability to drive the team to meet sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the sales and marketing operations of the new or pre-owned vehicle department, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Set and achieve monthly sales targets for the team, leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Motivate, train, and manage the performance of the sales staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Evaluate trade-ins, determine vehicle pricing, and manage stock effectively, ensuring optimal inventory levels and profitability.
  • Liaise with head office regarding sales performance and marketing strategies, providing regular updates and recommendations.
  • Oversee advertising efforts to promote vehicle inventory, maximizing brand visibility and driving sales.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Sales Manager, handling both new and pre-owned vehicles, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proven experience in achieving sales targets and ensuring profitability within the department, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Previous experience working in a corporate-branded dealership, with a deep understanding of the industry and its challenges.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with customers and team members, with the ability to build trust and drive results.
  • Valid South African driver's license with a clear criminal record, ensuring a safe and reliable driving record.
  • Grade 12 or equivalent; tertiary education is advantageous, with a focus on business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Must have experience with Audi and Volkswagen brands, with a deep understanding of their products and services.
